Who We Are
The Historic Lancaster Walking Tour was founded in 1975 in
preparation for  the 1976 celebration of the bicentennial anniversary
of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We are an all-
volunteer, non-profit organization with the mission of portraying to
visitors from around the world and residents the true beauty and
    fascinating history of our city.

    What We Do
Discover the history and beauty of our wonderful city guided by a
costumed interpreter. Visit over fifty locations that span 250 years of
Lancaster history. Average tour is between one and two hours,
including an introductory DVD presentation of local history and major
    sites.

This presentation will familiarize you with the rich history of this
central  Pennsylvania town from early settlers through being the
largest non-coastal  colonial village to its role in the Revolution and
    Civil War eras.

The walking is easy, but please wear comfortable shoes and carry a
water bottle on hot days. You may also want to have lunch or dinner
at one of the many downtown restaurants.
